We treasure and respect our past greats who have been outstanding show dogs and loving and loyal pets.  We will forever cherish their endless devotion to us and our families.  They are greatly missed.

(BIS BISS Am-Can Ch. Justmoor Believe In Me   ex   Ch. Benchmark's Oryan Hot and Spicy OD)

Tudie loved showing as much as chasing chickens and that's saying a lot. During her show career she received two Best in Sweepstakes at Golden Retriever Specialties and completed her championship easily with multiple Group Placements along the way. Tudie produced several American and Canadian Champions making her an outstanding dam. We will always be grateful to her breeders at Benchmark for such a great girl.
Zydeco's Crime of Passion
(Am-Can Ch. Zydeco's Geyser Peak   ex   Ch. Mattiaci Heidi Go Seek)

More than likely if you visited us at SmokeTree Farm you were greeted by Passion.  She was the essence of all that we love when we think of Golden Retrievers. She loved to go in the car anywhere you might be going. Passion was not shown due to her distaste for the show ring and her love affair with the couch.  Nickname:  Hunny Bunny.

Am-Can CH. SmokeTree's Horton Hears A Who
(Am-Can-Int-Vet Ch. Pacificgold's The Dance Am-Can OS, SDHF Multi BIS BISS
ex Ch. Benchmark P is for Pulchritude OD)

When Horton was a baby he looked just like a big furry Teddy Bear. He loved sinking into his over-sized fluffy dog bed. In typical Golden fashion he always had a smile on his face first thing in the morning until last thing at night. Horton obtained all his championship points from the Bred By Exhibitor Class. And as if this were not enough he accomplished this in only 3 ½ months. This qualified him for the Eukanuba Invitational Dog Show which he attended down in Florida.  Horton was a joy and lived his last few years with Pam and Mike Maloney.

Am-Can CH. Zydeco's Geyser Peak
(Ch. Asterling's Buster Keaton OS   ex   Birnam Wood Zydeco Fire)

Geyser was one of those dogs that could smile with his eyes and was affectionately known as The Jester. Geyser quickly finished his championship with a Best of Breed from the classes and a Group 1.
My first home-bred Champion, Geyser was my best friend. Not a day goes by that I'm not thinking about him.  - Julie

CH. SmokeTree's Turnip The Heat
(Ch. Bravo's Old Spice OS, SDHF  ex  Ch. Benchmark P is for Pulchritude OD)

Juneau was the pick male from Tudie's second litter and easily finished his championship. Juneau was a full-bodied boy with a classic headpiece. He was a favorite of breeder-judges with his classic Golden look.  Deni Rauw and Bob Martin were his loving family and gave him the life that every Golden deserves.

Louie was the dog that put SmokeTee on the map with  Best in Show and multi Best in Shows Specialty wins. Louie was in the Top Twenty Goldens for 2008 and 2009 and at one point was ranked Number 8 Golden Retriever in the United States. In 2008 he was invited to the prestigious Westminster Dog Show in New York. Along the way he acquired his Show Dog Hall of Fame.
First and foremost however he was loved and cared for by Rich Larricq.
