When Randy and Julie met Dave and Sally
In 1998 Dave and Sally contacted Randy and Julie about acquiring a show dog. After
several meetings we became fast friends and purchased our first show dog. Our first
champion was Tudie (Ch. Benchmark P is for Pulchritude) and we soon became interested in co-breeding a litter. At this time we started SmokeTree Goldens and bred our first litter, the Dr. Seuss litter, which produced our first Champion SmokeTrees Horton Hears A Who.
Realizing that the majority of Goldens go to pet homes, we strive to maintain the wonderful "Golden" temperament which attracted us all to the breed. We feel that the health of the dogs is extremely important and spend hours researching pedigrees to find
some of the best representatives of the breed.
When prospective owners come to buy a dog or puppy, they can expect to spend hours
answering questions and interacting with the dogs so that they will match up with just
the right friend.
